ORF-Enterprise successfully wraps a significant volume deal with Huawei's content service platform Huawei Video for Italy. 130 hours of ORF's fictional content will be soon available on Huawei Video.
Huawei secures the rights for 17 movies from ORF's crime series TATORT in which the two Viennese detectives Moritz Eisner and Bibi Fellner investigate thrilling and socio-politically highly relevant criminal cases by looking for clues all over Austria.
Additionally Huawei Video acquires all 9 seasons of Four Women and a Funeral. A series about four hobby investigators bringing excitement to their rather boring village by suspecting murder in almost every death and by investigating in a highly unconventional way.
The Italian content service platform also picks up the first 4 seasons of ORF's best rated series Fast Forward featuring divorced single mother and criminal investigator Angelica Fast. A woman who knows what she wants, managing her job and parental duties with humor.
The content will be accessible on Huawei and Honor devices in Italy, San Marino and in the Vatican City State for 12 months.
"We are very excited with offering Tatort for our Italian users, this high quality emblematic content will highly enrich our portfolio, ensuring we offer the best to our users with our cherry-picked content approach.", says Jaime Gonzalo, VP Huawei Consumer Cloud Services Europe.
"The recent deal with Huawei shows once again that fictional content from Austria has become an international bestseller. The team of Content Sales InternationaI and I are delighted to announce the successful placement of ORF's high-quality productions abroad, looking forward to expanding the footprint of Austria's best-rated TV-series and movies on a global scale.", adds Armin Luttenberger, Head of Content Sales International, ORF-Enterprise.
