ORF-Enterprise has completed a successful MIPTV in Cannes and has secured significant deals – blue chip documentaries from the ORF’s UNIVERSUM nature and history division along with wildly popular TV-series including “Fast Forward”, “Suburbia - Women on the Edge” plus, TV-movies such as:

 

Three new crime movies courtesy of the ORF’s successful hit show serial “TATORT/Scene of the Crime” will soon become available to the Italian audience. The movies feature thrilling, contemporary and relevant criminal cases. ORF-Enterprise had already licensed 26 episodes of the ORF’s award-winning crime movie series to the broadcaster “Discovery GIALLO” in 2017 and 2018 which generated remarkably high Italian television audience shares

 

“Scene of the Crime” adds to a line-up of fictional content from Austria, including the newest addition - an ORF original TV-Series – “Walking on Sunshine”. The series depicting the sometimes comical, sometimes romantic, always intriguing dynamics within a television station’s weather department, “Walking on Sunshine” premiered at MIPTV 2019 and generated buzz amongst buyers.

 

French and German audiences will soon be offered world-class wildlife titles from ORF-Enterprise’s catalogue. ARTE has picked up two visually stunning 4K productions: “Seefeld - Tyrolean Wonderland” as well as “Wild Shetland”.

 

Italy’s RAI has acquired “Wild Shetland” as part of a 6-hour package including “Lake Constance - Wilderness on the Water”, “Russia's Wild Sea” and “Wild Austria”.

 

Ushuaia and France 5 continue to highlight ORF-Enterprise’s excellent track record in France, having acquired titles from the ORF-Enterprise’s wildlife line-up. Ushuaia has picked up “Lungau - Highlife at Low Temperatures” as well as John Murray’s “On a River in Ireland”. “Wild Albania” has been licenced by France 5.

 

“Maria Theresia – Europe’s Mother-in Law” is the documentary Mediawans (France) has chosen at this year’s MIPTV. The documentary “Inventors Under the Swastika” will air soon on Viasat’s channels in Scandinavia and Eastern Europe.

 

In Latin America, the Brazilian VOD platform Encripta has started to acquire the first titles of the UNIVERSUM wildlife line-up, ensuring a regular cooperation with ORF-Enterprise.

 

“Christmas in Vienna”, the annual Christmas season’s highlight, has been licenced to Knowledge Networks (Canada).
