!ATTENTION! The following COVID-19 regulations are currently in place in Austria:
■ | Since October 1, the rules in Vienna have been tightened: only PCR tests are considered tests. | | ■ | From October 1, FFP2 masks are required instead of regular face masks: ■ | In Vienna, FFP2 masks are mandatory in all shops and some public indoor spaces (museums, libraries etc.) regardless of vaccination status. | | | | ■ | Measures in Hotels ■ | At check-in, you are required to show a negative COVID test or proof of vaccination/past infection (so-called "entry tests" according to Austria's "3G rule"). | | ■ | At check-in, you will need to register (as is usual in Austrian hotels). | | ■ | You will also need a valid entry test when making use of hotel services, such as visiting a hotel's restaurant. | | | | ■ | Measures in Restaurants & Night Clubs ■ | Restaurants are open nationwide. The following measures are in place: ■ | To visit a restaurant, you are required to show a negative COVID test or proof of vaccination/past infection (so-called "entry tests"). | | | | ■ | For night clubs and bars, additional stricter rules apply: ■ | A negative PCR test or a vaccine certificate is required (proof of past infection is not sufficient). | | ■ | Vaccinated guests have to be fully vaccinated to enter night clubs, bars and discos i.e. you will need to show either a negative test or proof of full immunisation. This means that you are only considered vaccinated if you had both doses of the vaccine OR for vaccines that only require one dose, starting on the 22nd day after vaccination. In Vienna (as of now), as well as in Styria and Tirol (from 8th November 2021), only proof of vaccination/recovery is accepted. | | | | | | ■ | The following rules are in place in Vienna only: ■ | Masks are required in all cultural institutions, including in museums and at events. From 1 October, FFP2 masks are required instead of regular face masks. | | ■ | From 1 October, events with more than 500 attendees require proof of vaccination or past infection (test is no longer sufficient). | | | |
Depending on the situation in Austria's intensive care units, stricter rules may be imposed.
