TEAM'S PICKS: INTRODUCING KASPAR
ONLINE VIEW

Hi, my name is Kaspar, and I’m happy to be part of the third edition of Team’s Picks.

I’ve lived in different places across Europe, so I really enjoy working in an international environment. I’m passionate about documentaries and strongly believe in the value of public service broadcasting. In my role as Sales Manager TV for Eastern Europe, MENA, Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa, I get to bring these stories to partners around the world.

One of the things I enjoy most about my job is meeting partners from across the industry and continuously learning how cultural nuances shape content preferences. I’m already looking forward to continuing these conversations at NEM Dubrovnik in June.

These are some of my current favorites. I hope you enjoy them.

Croatia's Coast – Endless and Wild

In 2025, thanks to NEM Dubrovnik, I discovered a small part of the Croatian coast for the first time, and it immediately drew me in. This documentary offers a deeper, more authentic look at Croatia’s changing coastline, going far beyond the postcard image and capturing the fascination it held for me from the start.

Women Pirates – Rebels of the Seas

I’ve always been drawn to stories about people who challenge expectations and make their own way. That is what I liked about “Women Pirates” right away. These women did not just survive in a world shaped by men, they carved out their own place in it.

The Theft of the Imperial Crown Jewels

What makes this film stand out is that when production began, the crown jewels were still missing. Then, in November 2025, long‑lost Habsburg jewels suddenly resurfaced in a Quebec bank vault. This twist gives the documentary extra weight, linking a spectacular theft with newly uncovered insights into the Habsburg dynasty.

The Geier Files

What drew me to The Geier Files is how quickly they pull you into their world. Lukas Geier finds himself in the middle of cases where nothing lines up at first glance: a hitman seeking protection, a murdered woman with a hidden past, and a trail of secrets that refuses to stay buried. The constant surprises and the tight interplay between personal history and investigation make these stories especially engaging.

Tatort Vienna: The Knife

Tatort Vienna has long been one of my favorites. I first discovered it on Sunday evenings with my parents, and it’s a classic I still return to. This episode opens a glimpse into the intense world of a high‑end restaurant, where pressure, hierarchy and hidden loyalties slowly come to light.

To Paradise

Living in Vienna, it is almost impossible not to cross paths with classical music. You feel its history everywhere in the city, and over time it has also found its way into my work. This production blends Mozart, Bach and Arvo Pärt into a contemplative soundscape that is both intimate and transcendent.

I hope you enyojed my picks!
