VIENNA – The “US International Award”, a distinguished platform that honors the pinnacle of excellence in documentary filmmaking, has acknowledged the exceptional quality of Alexander Schukoff’s Vienna-centric productions “Festive Treats of the Viennese Cuisine” and “Christmas Baking in Vienna” and awarded them each with a Silver Award. 
In addition to this, the docu-series “City Beasts” has made a significant impact, securing two awards from the ”International Tourism Film Festival Africa”: The episode “Cape of Chaos (Wherefore Art Thou Otter)” has been honored with the Silver Award in the category “Doc, TV and Web”, while the series as a whole has been bestowed with the prestigious Gold Award in the “Best Overall Series” category.

“Festive Treats of the Viennese Cuisine”and “Christmas Baking in Vienna”, both created by Alexander Schukoff-Film in association with ORF III, invite audiences to explore Austria’s traditional festive foods and baking customs. In “Festive Treats of the Viennese Cuisine”, Alexander and Nadeschda Schukoff investigate the origins of Vienna’s festive delicacies, research historical food trends and the influence of the church and monasteries on Viennese recipes. They uncover forgotten traditions, revealing a shift away from daily consumption of cheap meat, and share entertaining anecdotes from conversations with innkeepers, historians, clergymen, and cookbook authors.

In “City Beasts” – a co-production by Josh Crickmay Productions funded by Channel 180 in association with ORF-Enterprise – Josh Crickmay himself takes the viewers on an unforgettable journey through the urban wilderness of Cape Town. With his contagious enthusiasm and unique perspective as a game ranger, he uncovers the remarkable stories of the city’s wildlife and the profound impact they have on the locals. This entertaining Adventure Wildlife series not only showcases the natural beauty of Cape Town but also highlights the adaptability of nature and the resilience of a remarkable young man on a mission to inspire change.
