The Portuguese mystery “JONES” has been nominated in the Fiction category of the prestigious Golden Nymph Awards at the Monte‑Carlo Television Festival.

AUSTRIA/PORTUGAL – ORF‑Enterprise is pleased to announce that “JONES” has been selected as one of only nine fiction programs nominated for the 65^th Golden Nymph Awards at the Monte‑Carlo Television Festival.

Celebrating its 65^th edition this year, the Monte‑Carlo Television Festival is one of the world’s most established industry events. For more than six decades, the Principality of Monaco has welcomed major studios, broadcasters, digital platforms and international talent to showcase their programs, meet the press and public, and compete for the coveted Golden Nymph Awards. With world premieres, anniversary tributes, behind‑the‑scenes panels and signing sessions, the festival is a key meeting point for fans and professionals alike.

“JONES” will be screened during the festival in June as part of the Fiction Competition. The series is a co-production between Caracol Protagonista and RTP, with the support from PIC Portugal in association with ORF-Enterprise. The series set to premiere in October 2026 in Portugal.

Set against the striking landscapes of Sintra and Vila Nova de Foz Côa, “JONES” follows Inspector Oliver Jones, a brilliant yet reclusive investigator with the unusual ability to speak to the dead. After a family celebration at a grand estate ends in murder, he teams up with Júlia, the sarcastic victim herself, to uncover the truth. Together, they navigate a maze of secrets, grudges and hidden motives within a wealthy and deeply complicated family where every member has something to hide.
