Santa Barbara / Vienna - The NatureTrack Film Festival (NTFF) has concluded with the documentary "Hudson River Wild," of ORF’s blue-chip strand UNIVERSUM, securing the prestigious Audience Award at the Closing Nights Ceremony on Sunday, October 8th 2023.

Unlike the other categories at NTFF, the Audience Award is not decided not by a panel of judges, but by the festival attendees themselves. This emphasizes the film's exceptional ability to resonate with and delight viewers, establishing it as an authentic crowd favorite.


"Hudson River Wild" delves into the intricate beauty of the Hudson River, captivating viewers with its mesmerizing storytelling and breathtaking visuals. The film showcases the river's unique currents, diverse ecosystems, and remarkable wildlife with excellent cinematography, making it a natural choice for the Audience Award.


The NatureTrack Film Festival (NTFF), which began its journey in Los Olivos in 2018, has been a beacon for filmmakers to showcase the wonders of the natural world to an eager and engaged audience. Marking its 5th anniversary in 2023, this year’s NTFF made its much-anticipated debut in the scenic Santa Barbara region from October 6th to 8th, attracting nature aficionados as well as film enthusiasts, and embracing a locale renowned for its exceptional hospitality.
